Job Description

We Care Home Health Services in Camrose is seeking dedicated and empathetic individuals to join our team as Domiciliary Care Workers. No previous experience in healthcare is required – we provide full, paid training to equip you with all the skills and knowledge you’ll need to excel in this vital role. This position involves providing essential care and support to clients in their homes, with the added benefit of paid travel time between client visits.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide support with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment when necessary.
- Help clients with light household duties, such as meal preparation, tidying, and laundry.
- Administer medication reminders as per care plan.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities and provide companionship.
- Monitor and report any changes in a client's health or well-being to the care coordinator.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and company policies.
- Travel between client homes efficiently and safely, with travel time fully compensated.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable access to a vehicle.
- Clear criminal record check (to be completed upon offer of employment).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Personal experience caring for a family member or friend.
- Experience with mobile applications for documentation.
