Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Work From Home Logistics Dispatcher. In this fully remote role, you will be responsible for coordinating the efficient movement of packages and freight, ensuring timely deliveries and optimal route management. You will serve as the central point of contact for drivers and customers, utilizing your excellent communication skills to resolve issues and maintain operational flow. This is a critical role that contributes directly to our commitment to reliable and efficient service, all from the comfort of your home office.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and dispatch drivers for package pick-ups and deliveries, ensuring routes are optimized for efficiency and timeliness.
- Monitor real-time delivery progress, proactively identifying and addressing potential delays or issues.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams to provide updates, resolve inquiries, and troubleshoot challenges.
- Utilize dispatch software and other technological tools to track shipments, manage schedules, and record relevant data.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatches, delivery statuses, and driver activities.
- Respond to emergency situations or unforeseen logistical problems with quick and effective solutions.
- Collaborate with other logistics personnel to improve operational processes and service quality.

- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in using computer systems and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in a dispatch, logistics, or customer service role
- Familiarity with logistics software or transportation management systems (TMS)
- Understanding of geographical areas and route planning principles
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is an asset
