Job Description

Rentokil Initial is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Trainee Pest Control Technicians in Dundee. No prior experience in pest control is necessary as full comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you become a skilled and certified professional. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a valuable trade, work independently, and contribute to public health and safety. A company van will be provided for all your work-related travel, enabling you to service our diverse range of clients across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Undergo and successfully complete all provided training on pest identification, treatment methods, and safety protocols.
- Visit customer sites (residential and commercial) to inspect for pest activity.
- Apply pest control treatments safely and effectively, following company guidelines and industry regulations.
- Install and maintain pest control equipment and bait stations.
- Provide excellent customer service, offering clear advice and sustainable solutions to prevent future pest issues.
- Complete accurate service reports and documentation using digital tools.
- Manage and maintain your company vehicle, tools, and equipment to high standards.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety procedures and environmental regulations.
Required Skills
- No prior experience in pest control required; full training provided.
- A full UK driving license (essential for using the company van).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a daily schedule effectively.
- Practical aptitude and good problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly motivated to learn and develop.
- Good physical fitness, as the role involves lifting, climbing, and working in various environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Experience in a customer-facing service role.
- Basic computer literacy for completing digital reports and managing routes.
