Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Operations Manager to join our team in Brownsville, TX. This role is critical for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our IT infrastructure and services. The IT Operations Manager will lead a team of IT professionals, overseeing daily operations, incident management, problem resolution, and proactive maintenance to support our business objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of IT operations specialists and support staff, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the daily operations of IT systems, networks, and applications, ensuring maximum uptime and optimal performance.
- Develop, implement, and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices, including ITIL frameworks.
- Manage incident response and problem management processes, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with other IT departments and business units to ensure seamless service delivery and support strategic initiatives.
- Monitor system health and performance, identifying potential issues and implementing preventative measures.
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Develop and manage the IT operations budget, optimizing resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in IT operations management or a similar leadership role.
- Proven experience managing and mentoring IT teams.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networking, databases, and cloud platforms.
- Experience with incident management and problem management processes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- ITIL Foundation certification or higher.
- Experience with enterprise-level monitoring tools and automation scripts.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Project management experience.
