Job Description

Hafal is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Mental Health Support Worker to join our dedicated team in Milford Haven. This is an entry-level position specifically designed for individuals with no prior experience in mental health care. We believe in potential, and if you have the right attitude, empathy, and a desire to learn, we will provide you with all the comprehensive training and support needed to thrive in this vital role. You will play a crucial part in supporting individuals experiencing mental health challenges, helping them to live fulfilling lives within their community. This role requires an immediate start for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical and emotional support to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties, enabling them to achieve their personal goals.
- Assist service users with daily living activities, including managing finances, household tasks, and accessing community resources.
- Support individuals in developing coping strategies and life skills to promote independence and wellbeing.
- Engage in one-to-one and group support sessions, fostering a safe and supportive environment.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of support provided and service user progress.
- Work collaboratively with senior support workers, healthcare professionals, and families to ensure holistic care.
- Participate actively in all required training and development programs.
- Adhere to all Hafal policies, procedures, and professional standards.
