Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Night Porter to join our vibrant team at our prestigious Manchester location. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in hospitality, as full training will be provided. As a Night Porter, you will be an integral part of ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of our guests during the overnight hours. You will be responsible for a range of duties, from guest assistance and security checks to light administrative tasks, ensuring our high standards of service are maintained throughout the night.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage guest arrivals and departures during night hours, including check-ins and check-outs.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and inquiries, resolving any issues efficiently.
- Conduct regular security rounds of the hotel premises, including all public areas and fire exits.
- Assist guests with luggage and other needs, ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience.
- Handle telephone calls and switchboard operations, directing calls as necessary.
- Prepare and set up meeting rooms or public areas for morning activities.
- Perform light administrative tasks, such as preparing reports or processing invoices.
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarms, responding to any alerts as per hotel policy.
- Ensure public areas are tidy and presentable throughout the night.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately and securely.
