Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as a Hospital Porter. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for those looking to start a career in healthcare, with no prior experience required. We provide comprehensive, full training to ensure you are fully equipped to excel in this vital role. As a Hospital Porter, you will be a crucial part of our patient care team, responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of patients, equipment, and medical supplies throughout the hospital. Your commitment to patient comfort and operational efficiency will directly impact the quality of care we provide.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients via wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds to various departments (e.g., admissions, discharge, radiology, operating rooms).
- Assist patients with movement and comfort during transfers.
- Transport medical equipment, supplies, specimens, and patient records between departments as needed.
- Ensure all transport equipment is clean, in good working order, and readily available.
- Respond promptly to transport requests and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, other departments, and patients.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations, including infection control protocols.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times.
