Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as a Hospital Porter. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for those looking to start a career in healthcare, with no prior experience required. We provide comprehensive, full training to ensure you are fully equipped to excel in this vital role. As a Hospital Porter, you will be a crucial part of our patient care team, responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of patients, equipment, and medical supplies throughout the hospital. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport patients via wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds to various departments (e.g., admissions, discharge, radiology, operating rooms).
  • Assist patients with movement and comfort during transfers.
  • Transport medical equipment, supplies, specimens, and patient records between departments as needed.
  • Ensure all transport equipment is clean, in good working order, and readily available.
  • Respond promptly to transport requests and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff, other departments, and patients.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations, including infection control protocols.
  • Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times.
