Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Computer Vision Engineer to join our innovative R&D team in Stratford, PEI. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual passionate about computer vision and deep learning to contribute to the development of next-generation robotic systems and AI-powered solutions. In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize computer vision algorithms for various applications, ranging from object detection and tracking to 3D reconstruction and gesture recognition. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement robust computer vision algorithms for object detection, tracking, recognition, and scene understanding.
  • Develop and fine-tune deep learning models for various vision tasks, ensuring high performance and accuracy.
  • Integrate computer vision modules into larger robotic and AI systems.
  • Conduct experiments, analyze data, and evaluate the performance of vision systems.
  • Optimize algorithms for real-time processing and efficient resource utilization on target hardware.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in computer vision, deep learning, and artificial intelligence.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of vision solutions.

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Python and/or C++ programming.
  • Extensive experience with computer vision libraries such as OpenCV.
  • Demonstrated experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras).
  • Solid understanding of image processing fundamentals and classical computer vision algorithms.
  • Experience with machine learning techniques and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
  • Experience with 3D vision, point clouds, or SLAM techniques.
  • Knowledge of embedded systems and hardware-accelerated computer vision.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for model training and deployment.
  • Experience in industrial automation, robotics, or autonomous systems.
  • Publications in relevant conferences or journals (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS).
