Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Audit Manager to join our thriving practice in Stoke-on-Trent. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver a portfolio of complex audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring adherence to budgets and deadlines.
- Lead and mentor audit teams, providing guidance, feedback, and fostering their professional development.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and addressing their needs effectively.
- Conduct thorough reviews of audit work papers and financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, UK GAAP).
- Identify and assess audit risks, developing effective audit strategies to mitigate them.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients and senior management.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and practice growth.
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent internationally recognized accounting qualification.
- Proven experience as an Audit Manager or Assistant Manager within a Big 4 or Top 10 accounting firm.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and mentoring skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a proven track record of managing client relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
