Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Eco-Tourism Lodge Assistant to join our team at a stunning, secluded lodge. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about nature, hospitality, and sustainable living. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have a memorable and comfortable stay, while also contributing to the daily operations and ecological integrity of the lodge. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal role for individuals looking to start a career in eco-tourism. This position is based at our remote lodge, with accommodation provided on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with guest check-ins and check-outs, providing a warm and informative welcome.
  • Support housekeeping duties, ensuring guest rooms and common areas are clean and well-maintained.
  • Help with meal preparation and serving, focusing on locally sourced and sustainable ingredients.
  • Assist guests with activity bookings and provide information about local attractions and eco-friendly excursions.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of lodge grounds, including basic gardening or minor maintenance tasks.
  • Participate in waste management and recycling initiatives in line with our sustainability policies.
  • Monitor inventory of supplies and report needs to the Lodge Manager.
  • Engage with guests, fostering a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Support the team in emergency situations and follow all safety protocols.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • A genuine interest in nature, sustainability, and environmental conservation.
  • Basic computer literacy for administrative tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in hospitality, customer service, or a related field (not essential, but a plus).
  • First Aid certification.
  • Knowledge of local flora, fauna, and environmental best practices.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages.
