Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Independent Financial Advisor (IFA) to join our dynamic team in Southport. This is an exceptional opportunity for a client-centric professional to manage and grow a portfolio of clients, offering bespoke financial advice across a broad spectrum of wealth management areas. You will be instrumental in helping clients navigate complex financial landscapes, make informed decisions, and achieve their long-term financial aspirations.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs and objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive financial reviews and analyses, assessing clients' current financial situations.
- Develop and implement tailored financial plans covering investments, pensions, protection, and inheritance tax planning.
- Provide expert advice on a wide range of financial products and services, ensuring suitability and compliance.
- Regularly review client portfolios and financial plans, making adjustments as necessary to meet evolving needs and market conditions.
- Generate new business through referrals, networking, and proactive client acquisition strategies.
- Ensure all advice and client interactions adhere to regulatory standards and internal compliance procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial markets, products, and legislative changes.
Required Skills
- CII Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS) or equivalent.
- Proven track record in a client-facing financial advisory role for at least 2 years.
- Strong understanding of financial products, markets, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with a diverse client base.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated, organised, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- CII Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning (APFS) or working towards it.
- Experience with specialist financial planning software and CRM systems.
- Established client book or demonstrable ability to develop new business quickly.
- Previous experience working within an SJP Partnership.
