Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Work From Home Municipal Clerk to join our team. This fully remote position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to local government operations from the comfort of your home. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting administrative functions, managing records, and ensuring timely communication within various local government departments. You will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth flow of information and contributing to the efficient delivery of public services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and organize official municipal documents, records, and correspondence in compliance with local regulations.
- Prepare agendas, record minutes, and distribute materials for virtual meetings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with the processing of permits, licenses, and other applications, directing inquiries to appropriate departments.
- Maintain electronic and physical filing systems, ensuring data integrity and ease of access.
- Respond to inquiries from the public and internal stakeholders regarding local government procedures and services.
- Coordinate with various municipal departments to gather information and ensure cross-departmental communication.
- Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and other administrative documents.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role (minimum 12 months).
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a local government or public sector environment.
