Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrical Engineer to join our innovative team in Dundee. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and components for our next-generation self-service solutions and financial hardware. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to all phases of the product lifecycle, from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components for new and existing products.
  • Create detailed electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and wiring diagrams.
  • Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting of electrical issues in prototypes and production units.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineering teams to ensure successful product integration.
  • Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and safety regulations (e.g., CE, UL).
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate electrical performance and reliability.
  • Support manufacturing and field service teams with technical expertise and problem resolution.
  • Document design specifications, test procedures, and engineering changes.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical hardware design and development.
  • Proficiency with CAD software for schematic capture and PCB layout (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, OrCAD).
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles.
  • Experience with microcontrollers, embedded systems, and sensor integration.
  • Familiarity with EMI/EMC design considerations and testing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with high-speed digital design.
  • Knowledge of power electronics and power supply design.
  • Experience in the ATM, POS, or self-service kiosk industry.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with compliance testing and certification processes.
  • Proficiency in simulation tools (e.g., SPICE).
