Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Online Civic Engagement Assistant to join our growing remote team. This is a unique opportunity for an individual passionate about community advocacy and digital communication to contribute to meaningful social impact. As an Online Civic Engagement Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our digital campaigns, managing online platforms, and facilitating communication between communities and decision-makers. This position is 100% remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and engage with online discussions related to civic issues and local community projects.
- Assist in drafting and scheduling engaging content for various social media platforms and digital newsletters.
- Respond to community inquiries and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Support the coordination of online events, webinars, and virtual public consultations.
- Conduct basic research on civic topics, policy initiatives, and community demographics.
- Maintain and update online databases and CRM systems with engagement data.
- Collaborate with the broader Digital Outreach UK team to ensure consistent messaging and campaign objectives.
- Identify new opportunities for online civic engagement and community outreach.
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
- Basic understanding of digital communication tools and practices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- A genuine interest in civic engagement, community development, or public affairs.
- Reliable internet access and a suitable home workspace.
- Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
Preferred Qualifications
