Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Sort mail and packages into correct bins and containers according to established procedures.
- Operate sorting equipment and machinery safely and efficiently after receiving full training.
- Load and unload mail sacks, trays, and packages, requiring physical stamina.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and productive environment.
- Adhere strictly to all USPS safety guidelines and operational protocols.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily sorting and processing targets.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support postal operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand sorting instructions and destination codes.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods (up to 70 lbs, with assistance for heavier items).
- Attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
- Reliability and punctuality for assigned night shifts.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Commitment to learning and adhering to all safety and operational procedures.
- No prior experience necessary – full training provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar environment (not required, but a plus).
