Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Portfolio Manager to join our wealth management team in Bradford. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client investment portfolios, developing bespoke investment strategies, and providing expert financial advice. This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, risk management, and excellent client relationship skills. You will play a crucial role in helping our clients achieve their financial goals through sound investment management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor investment strategies for client portfolios tailored to their risk profiles and financial objectives.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify investment opportunities and manage risks.
  • Communicate portfolio performance, market outlooks, and strategic decisions to clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ensure all investment activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with high-net-worth clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including financial planners and analysts, to deliver holistic financial solutions.
  • Provide insightful reporting and performance reviews to clients regularly.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in portfolio management or a similar investment role.
  • Strong understanding of various asset classes, financial instruments, and investment strategies.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial markets and economic principles.
  • Proficiency with portfolio management software and financial data platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFA Charterholder or progress towards the designation.
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience working with a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals.
  • Familiarity with UK financial regulations (e.g., FCA rules).
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
