Job Description
Join our team as a Vehicle Relocation Driver and play a crucial role in managing our extensive fleet. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently driving vehicles between various company locations, dealerships, and customer sites. This position involves frequent travel within the local region and potentially longer distances, ensuring our vehicles are where they need to be, when they need to be there. We are looking for reliable individuals with a strong sense of responsibility and an excellent driving record. Training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for those looking to start a career in logistics and transportation.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and relocate a variety of vehicles, including cars, SUVs, and vans, between company branches, service centers, and designated delivery points.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Ensure all vehicle documentation and keys are properly managed and accounted for during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements and mileage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and branch personnel regarding vehicle status and potential delays.
- Assist with other light duties as needed to support fleet operations.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no major infractions within the last 3-5 years).
- Ability to operate a variety of vehicle types (automatic and manual transmission preferred, but not required).
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage routes efficiently.
- Comfortable with frequent driving and varying weather conditions.
- Must be at least 21 years of age for insurance purposes.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a driving or delivery role.
- Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation apps.
- Customer service experience.
