Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Printing Press Finishing Hand to join our production team in Oshodi. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the post-press finishing processes, primarily focusing on folding and bagging printed materials. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will play a crucial part in ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards before reaching our customers, maintaining our reputation for quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor automated folding and bagging machinery efficiently and safely.
- Perform manual folding and packaging of various printed materials according to job specifications.
- Conduct thorough quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards and client requirements.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of materials onto machines and production lines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times, adhering to all company and industry safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and promptly report larger maintenance needs to supervisors or the technical team.
- Collaborate effectively with other production team members to achieve daily output targets and ensure smooth workflow.
- Prepare finished goods for shipment, including accurate labeling, counting, and palletizing.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong teamwork ethic.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or a strong willingness to learn machine operation.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift moderately heavy materials (up to 25kg).
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and adherence to company policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, particularly within the printing or packaging industry.
- Familiarity with the operation of folding or bagging equipment.
