Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Defence Science Support professional to join our Research & Development team in Tamworth. This role involves providing essential technical and administrative support to our defence-related research projects, ensuring the smooth operation of laboratory activities and the integrity of scientific data. You will be an integral part of a team pushing the boundaries of scientific discovery for national defence and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist researchers with experimental setup, data collection, and basic analysis.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Manage and organise research materials, samples, and chemical inventories.
- Document experimental procedures, results, and observations accurately.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and relevant regulatory standards.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other research-related documentation.
- Provide general administrative support to the research team as required.
Required Skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures diligently.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
