Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Defence Science Support professional to join our Research & Development team in Tamworth. This role involves providing essential technical and administrative support to our defence-related research projects, ensuring the smooth operation of laboratory activities and the integrity of scientific data. You will be an integral part of a team pushing the boundaries of scientific discovery for national defence and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist researchers with experimental setup, data collection, and basic analysis.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
  • Manage and organise research materials, samples, and chemical inventories.
  • Document experimental procedures, results, and observations accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and relevant regulatory standards.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other research-related documentation.
  • Provide general administrative support to the research team as required.

Required Skills

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures diligently.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
