Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Payroll Data Specialist to join our robust finance team in Newcastle. This critical role involves managing and processing payroll data for a large workforce, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processes and regulations, excellent data management skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of data integrity within a large-scale corporate environment. Key Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll data accurately and efficiently for a significant employee base.
- Ensure strict compliance with Australian payroll legislation, awards, and company policies.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Generate and distribute various payroll reports for management and compliance purposes.
- Respond to and resolve payroll-related queries from employees and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain meticulous payroll records and ensure data integrity within the payroll system.
- Assist with payroll system updates, testing, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in payroll administration or data management.
- Proficiency with large-scale payroll software (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, Workday).
- Strong data entry and analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy.
- In-depth understanding of Australian payroll legislation, taxation, and superannuation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Experience working in a large corporate or retail environment.
- Familiarity with industrial awards and enterprise agreements relevant to the retail sector.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
