Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Traffic Sign Installation Laborer to join our outdoor council team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in public infrastructure maintenance. You will play a crucial role in ensuring road safety and efficient traffic flow by assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of various traffic signs across the Clifton area of Bristol. Full training will be provided to the right candidate, emphasizing safety protocols and proper installation techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist skilled technicians with the installation and removal of traffic signs, posts, and related hardware.
  • Prepare work sites by setting up safety barriers, cones, and appropriate signage to ensure public and team safety.
  • Dig holes, pour concrete, and perform other manual tasks required for sign foundation and installation.
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from vehicles.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including vehicles and storage areas.
  • Perform routine checks and minor repairs on existing traffic signs as directed.
  • Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
