Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Inventory Planning Manager to join our dynamic supply chain team in Reading. This critical role involves optimizing inventory levels, ensuring product availability, and minimizing costs across our extensive network. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, excellent forecasting abilities, and a proven track record in inventory optimization. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement inventory planning strategies to meet service level targets and business objectives.
- Conduct demand forecasting, inventory analysis, and safety stock calculations.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, sales, and marketing teams to align inventory plans with commercial goals.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory turns, stock levels, and obsolescence.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs in the supply chain.
- Manage inventory across various product categories and distribution channels.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on inventory performance and forecasts for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in inventory planning or supply chain management.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., APICS CSCP, CPIM).
- Experience in the telecommunications industry.
- Familiarity with global supply chain operations.
