Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and empathetic individuals to join our team as Remote Dispatcher / Roadside Assistance Agents. In this 100% remote role, you will be the first point of contact for members experiencing vehicle breakdowns or emergencies. You will expertly handle inbound calls, assess situations, provide immediate solutions, and dispatch appropriate roadside assistance services, ensuring our members receive timely and professional support. This is a critical role that requires a calm demeanor, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to exceptional member service.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer high volume inbound calls from members requesting roadside assistance.
- Accurately assess member needs and determine appropriate service solutions (e.g., towing, battery service, flat tire change, lockout assistance).
- Utilize dispatch software to assign and track service providers, ensuring efficient response times.
- Provide clear, concise, and accurate information to members regarding service status and estimated arrival times.
- Document all interactions and service requests thoroughly and accurately in the system.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy while assisting members in potentially stressful situations.
- Collaborate with service providers to resolve dispatch issues and ensure smooth service delivery.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
- Exceptional active listening and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking under pressure.
- Proficiency in navigating multiple computer applications and systems simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
- High degree of empathy and patience when dealing with members in distress.
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated quiet home office space.
- Basic typing and data entry skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a call center, customer service, or dispatch role.
- Familiarity with geographic areas within California.
- Experience with CRM software and dispatch systems.
- Bilingual skills (especially Spanish) are a plus.
