Riversdale Dairies is seeking a motivated and reliable Dairy Shed Assistant to join our team in Launceston, Tasmania. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the morning milking routine, ensuring efficient and humane handling of the herd.
- Perform thorough cleaning and maintenance of the dairy shed, milking equipment, and associated facilities.
- Monitor the health and well-being of dairy cows, reporting any unusual observations or concerns to senior staff.
- Assist with herd movement, feeding, and general animal husbandry tasks.
- Operate various farm machinery and equipment under supervision, after receiving comprehensive training.
- Adhere strictly to all farm safety protocols, animal welfare guidelines, and hygiene standards.
- Support the broader farm team with general duties as required to ensure smooth daily operations.
