Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Marine Geochemistry Intern to join our dynamic Coastal Lab team. This entry-level internship offers an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marine geochemistry research, working alongside leading scientists on critical environmental projects. You will contribute to data collection, analysis, and interpretation related to coastal processes and biogeochemical cycles. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior researchers with field sampling expeditions in coastal environments.
- Prepare and analyze water, sediment, and biological samples using various laboratory techniques (e.g., spectrophotometry, chromatography, mass spectrometry).
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Compile and organize research data, assisting with basic data processing and preliminary analysis.
- Participate in lab meetings, contributing to discussions and presenting findings as appropriate.
- Conduct literature reviews to support ongoing research projects.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of chemistry or environmental science principles.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow experimental protocols precisely.
