Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Agile Delivery Manager to join our growing team in Reading. The successful candidate will be instrumental in guiding our agile teams, ensuring successful project delivery, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within our fast-paced environment. This role requires a blend of servant leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on experience in agile methodologies to drive efficiency and deliver high-quality solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and mentor multiple agile teams, fostering self-organization and accountability.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, reviews) effectively.
- Identify and remove impediments that hinder team progress, escalating where necessary.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communication, ensuring transparency on project status and risks.
- Work closely with Product Owners to ensure a clear and prioritized product backlog.
- Monitor and report on team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Champion agile principles and practices across the organization.
- Ensure the quality and timely delivery of solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting continuous learning and innovation.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Agile Delivery Manager or Scrum Master in a complex environment.
- Deep understanding and practical experience with various agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with a servant-leader mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency with agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), SAFe Agilist (SA), or other advanced agile certifications.
- Experience with scaled agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS).
- Background in software development or technical project management.
- Experience in a consulting environment.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
