Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Director to join our Advisory practice in Warrington. This pivotal role involves leading complex M&A transactions, providing strategic advice to clients, and driving significant value creation. The successful candidate will be instrumental in all phases of the deal lifecycle, from strategy formulation and target identification to due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and post-merger integration. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients across various sectors. Visa sponsorship is provided for eligible international candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage M&A projects, including buy-side and sell-side transactions, divestitures, and strategic alliances.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on complex M&A matters.
  • Oversee financial modeling, valuation analysis, and due diligence efforts.
  • Negotiate transaction terms and agreements on behalf of clients.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the growth of the M&A practice.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal firm policies.
  • Prepare and present high-quality deliverables and presentations to senior clients and stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Mergers & Acquisitions, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development.
  • Proven track record of leading and successfully executing complex M&A transactions.
  • Exceptional financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of M&A market trends, regulatory environments, and best practices.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Eligibility for UK visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field.
  • CFA or other relevant professional certifications.
  • Experience working with international clients or on cross-border transactions.
  • Sector-specific expertise (e.g., Technology, Healthcare, Industrials).
