Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and physically capable individuals to join our team as a Brick Handler at our outdoor factory facility in Geelong. This is a demanding but rewarding role that plays a crucial part in our production process. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling, stacking, and organisation of bricks and other masonry products. This outdoor position requires comfort working in various weather conditions and a strong commitment to workplace safety. Full training will be provided to ensure you are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to excel in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload bricks and other building materials manually or using appropriate equipment.
- Stack and organise products in designated areas, ensuring proper storage and accessibility.
- Operate basic machinery such as pallet jacks or small lifting equipment (training provided if needed).
- Inspect bricks for quality, defects, and damage before and after handling.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety protocols.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation as required.
- Perform other general labour duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following procedures.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills to understand and follow instructions.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role, factory, or construction environment is an advantage but not essential.
- Forklift license or experience operating similar machinery (training can be provided for the right candidate).
- Basic understanding of building materials.
- Current First Aid certification.
