Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our growing team as an X-Ray / Radiology File Clerk. This is an outstanding entry-level opportunity for someone eager to start a career in healthcare administration. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided. You will play a crucial role in managing and organizing patient X-ray and radiology files, ensuring efficient access to critical information for our medical staff and contributing to the smooth operation of our radiology department.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed filing and organization of patient X-ray and radiology reports.
- Accurately input and update patient information into our electronic health record system.
- Efficiently retrieve patient files for radiologists, technologists, and other medical personnel as requested.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and security of all patient health information (PHI) in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Assist with general administrative tasks within the radiology department, including scanning, copying, and preparing documents.
- Ensure the tidy, systematic, and accessible upkeep of all physical and digital file storage areas.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with healthcare professionals and other administrative staff.
- Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency.
