Job Description

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented WFH Cataloguing Assistant with a passion for digital content to join our Library Services team. This is a fully remote position focused on expanding and maintaining our digital library catalogue. As a Cataloguing Assistant, you will be responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining accurate metadata for our growing collection of digital resources, ensuring they are easily discoverable and accessible to our community. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in digital library services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate cataloguing and metadata creation for new digital resources (e.g., e-books, audiobooks, digital archives) using established library standards.
  • Update and maintain existing catalogue records to reflect changes or improvements.
  • Ensure consistency and quality of metadata across the digital library platform.
  • Assist in the organisation and indexing of digital content.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Library Coordinator to identify and resolve cataloguing discrepancies.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to digital cataloguing best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of digital library workflows and processes.
