Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and physically capable individuals to join our events team as a Wedding Venue Setup Assistant. This is a crucial, hands-on role primarily involving weekend work, ensuring our wedding venues are perfectly prepared and reset for various events. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute venue setup according to detailed event layouts and diagrams for weddings and other special events.
  • Arrange and meticulously place tables, chairs, linens, dishware, and centerpieces.
  • Set up various event equipment including staging, dance floors, audio-visual components, and decorative elements.
  • Safely transport and move furniture and equipment around the venue.
  • Assist with post-event breakdown, including clearing, cleaning, and storing items efficiently.
  • Ensure all areas are clean, tidy, and ready for the next event or for guests' departure.
  • Work collaboratively with the event management team and other staff members to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Be punctual and reliable for all scheduled shifts, primarily on weekends and evenings.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive, 'can-do' attitude.
  • Excellent reliability and punctuality, especially for weekend shifts.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
  • A team player with good communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to presenting a polished event space.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hospitality or event-related role (not required, but a plus).
  • Familiarity with event setup procedures or venue operations.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
