Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Warehouse Packers to join our afternoon shift team at our Shepparton Distribution Centre. In this fast-paced and dynamic role, you will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and preparing products for dispatch to our retail stores. This is a physically active position that requires attention to detail, commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start or advance their career in logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack products according to order specifications using scanning technology.
- Ensure all packed items meet quality standards and are free from damage.
- Operate manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods as required.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to work consistently during afternoon shift hours (e.g., 2 PM – 10 PM).
- Physical fitness and ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for understanding instructions and counting.
- A proactive and positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar fast-paced environment.
- Experience using warehouse scanning systems or RF scanners.
- Current forklift license (advantageous, but not essential for this packing role).
