Job Description
Are you passionate about creating visually appealing displays and eager to learn the ropes of retail merchandising? Target is offering an exciting opportunity for a Visual Merchandising Assistant Trainee in our Casper, Wyoming store. No prior experience is required, as we provide comprehensive, full training to help you develop the skills needed to excel in this role. You will work alongside our experienced team to bring our brand to life through captivating in-store presentations, learn about product placement, customer flow, and how visual elements drive sales and enhance the shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Visual Merchandising Manager with planning and executing in-store displays and promotions.
- Learn to interpret visual merchandising guidelines and apply them effectively.
- Help set up and dismantle seasonal displays, window presentations, and promotional areas.
- Ensure all merchandise is correctly displayed, priced, and stocked.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of display areas.
- Collaborate with sales associates to understand product performance and customer preferences.
- Support inventory management related to display items.
- Continuously learn about current visual merchandising trends and techniques.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Eagerness to learn and a strong work ethic.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift, move, and arrange merchandise (up to 25 lbs).
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
