Job Description
Are you an energetic and reliable individual with a passion for customer service? Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in St. Albert is looking for a dedicated Valet Parking Attendant to join our dynamic team. This fast-paced role is ideal for someone who thrives in a lively environment and enjoys interacting with guests. You will be the first and last impression for many of our visitors, providing a seamless and professional parking experience. This is an immediate hire opportunity, offering the potential for daily cash tips in addition to your hourly wage.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet all guests and visitors upon arrival and departure, offering assistance as needed.
- Efficiently and safely park and retrieve guest vehicles in designated areas.
- Maintain an organized and tidy valet parking area and front entrance.
- Assist guests with luggage and directions, providing local information when requested.
- Handle vehicles with the utmost care, ensuring their safety and security.
- Communicate effectively with other team members and front desk staff.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including traffic regulations and driving standards.
- Report any vehicle damage or guest concerns promptly to management.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Professional and polished appearance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and reliability.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, run, and bend for extended periods in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., hospitality, retail).
- Familiarity with the St. Albert area and local attractions.
