Job Description

No prior experience in emergency services is required – we’re looking for individuals with excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You will be the crucial first point of contact for individuals experiencing emergencies, providing vital support and dispatching appropriate resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and accurately process incoming Triple Zero (000) emergency calls for police, fire, and ambulance services.
- Calmly and effectively gather critical information from callers in distress, often under high-stress conditions.
- Provide clear, concise pre-arrival instructions to callers to assist victims or manage situations.
- Prioritise calls based on urgency and nature of the emergency.
- Dispatch appropriate emergency services units (police, fire, ambulance) to incident locations.
- Maintain accurate records of calls and actions taken using specialised computer systems.
- Liaise with emergency services personnel and other agencies to ensure coordinated responses.
- Adhere to strict protocols, procedures, and ethical guidelines at all times.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain high standards of service.
