Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Trainee Civil Engineering Assistant to join our Public Works Department. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals with no prior experience in civil engineering but a strong desire to learn and contribute to public infrastructure projects. You will receive comprehensive paid training, working alongside experienced civil engineers and technicians, gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of municipal engineering. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist civil engineers and technicians with data collection, calculations, and preliminary design work for public works projects.

  • Support the preparation of reports, technical documents, and presentations.
  • Assist with the organization and maintenance of project files and documentation.
  • Operate and maintain basic engineering equipment under supervision.
  • Conduct research on relevant engineering standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with team members on various tasks and projects as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Valid G-class Ontario Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle for travel to various work sites.
