Job Description
Are you passionate about coffee and eager to learn the art of being a barista? Serious Coffee in Duncan, BC is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Trainee Barista / Coffee Shop Assistant. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone with no prior experience in coffee shops. We are committed to providing comprehensive, hands-on training to help you develop all the skills needed to become a proficient barista and an integral part of our team. Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in comprehensive training to learn coffee preparation techniques, including espresso shots, milk steaming, and drink assembly.
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, taking orders accurately and making recommendations.
- Operate point-of-sale systems, handle cash and credit card transactions with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, seating areas, and back-of-house.
- Assist with stocking inventory, rotating products, and ensuring all supplies are readily available.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food handling and hygiene standards.
- Prepare and serve various food items such as pastries and sandwiches.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
