Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Trade Show Booth Builder to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, have a knack for construction and assembly, and are eager to travel. As a Booth Builder, you will be responsible for the assembly, installation, and dismantling of custom trade show booths at various event venues. This role requires precision, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Weekly pay and travel expenses are included.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install various components of trade show booths, including structural elements, graphics, flooring, and lighting systems, according to technical drawings and specifications.
  • Dismantle booths efficiently and carefully post-event, ensuring all components are properly packed and secured for transport.
  • Safely load and unload materials from trucks and into exhibition venues.
  • Perform on-site maintenance and repairs as needed to ensure booth integrity and appearance.
  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and clients to ensure successful execution of booth designs.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies during setup and teardown.
  • Operate various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Travel extensively to various trade show locations across Canada, often involving overnight stays and weekend work.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in trade show booth construction, carpentry, or general construction.
  • Knowledge of exhibition industry standards and best practices.
  • Forklift certification or ability to operate similar equipment.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
