Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Supermarket Home Delivery Drivers to join our team in Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity to be the face of Tesco, delivering groceries with a smile to our valued customers. We offer flexible hours to suit your lifestyle, and importantly, we provide the delivery van, so you don’t need your own. Full training will be given, making this an excellent role for individuals looking to start a new career path or those seeking a flexible job with a reputable company. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver groceries to customer homes within scheduled time slots.
- Provide exceptional customer service at the point of delivery, ensuring a friendly and helpful experience.
- Accurately check off orders with customers, handling any discrepancies professionally.
- Navigate routes efficiently using provided tools and knowledge of the local area.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the company vehicle.
- Assist with loading and unloading the delivery van as required.
Required Skills
- A valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Good geographical knowledge of the Cardiff area or willingness to learn.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- A positive attitude and a friendly demeanour.
- Ability to lift and carry items as required for deliveries.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a driving or customer service role (not essential as full training provided).
- Familiarity with using GPS navigation systems.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
