Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Subway / Metro Station Attendant. While Moncton currently operates a bus-based transit system, this role encompasses the vital customer service and operational support responsibilities typically found in a station environment, adapted for our primary transit hubs and busy stops. The successful candidate will be the welcoming face of our transit system, assisting passengers, providing information, ensuring safety, and contributing to the smooth daily operations of our services. Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service to all passengers, including assistance with directions, schedules, and fare information.
- Monitor station areas, waiting zones, and bus stops to ensure passenger safety and security.
- Assist passengers with accessibility needs, including boarding and alighting.
- Handle passenger inquiries and resolve minor issues professionally and efficiently.
- Report maintenance needs, security incidents, or emergency situations to appropriate personnel.
- Ensure the cleanliness and presentability of assigned station areas.
- Operate fare collection equipment and assist passengers with ticket purchases or card top-ups.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Required Skills

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Basic computer literacy for operating ticketing systems or information displays.

- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service, public-facing, or transit environment.
- Knowledge of the Greater Moncton transit routes and services.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is a significant asset in Moncton.
