Job Description
Join our operations team as a State/Provincial Revenue Mail Sorter. This active office role involves the accurate and efficient processing of high volumes of incoming mail related to revenue and financial documents. You will be responsible for sorting, opening, and preparing various types of correspondence for distribution to the appropriate departments. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and security standards. It is an on-site role that involves standing, lifting, and repetitive motions.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, open, and sort large volumes of incoming mail accurately and efficiently.
- Categorize and prepare financial documents and other revenue-related correspondence for processing.
- Operate mail sorting equipment and other office machinery as needed.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information.
- Adhere to established security protocols and company procedures.
- Perform quality checks on sorted mail to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare outgoing mail for dispatch, including sealing, weighing, and postage application.
- Assist with other general office duties and administrative tasks as assigned.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report major malfunctions.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Required Skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and tracking.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an office, mailroom, or warehouse setting.
