Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team as a Sorting Office Hand at our Noosa Heads facility. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking for a stable role in a clean, organised, and low-stress environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring mail and parcels are sorted accurately and efficiently, contributing to the timely delivery of services to the community. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal entry-level position.
Key Responsibilities
- Sorting mail and parcels into designated bins or areas based on postcode and delivery route.
- Operating basic sorting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Loading and unloading mail bags and containers.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and company procedures.
- Assisting with other general duties as required within the sorting office.
Required Skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good attention to detail.
- Basic literacy skills to read addresses and sorting instructions.
- Ability to lift and move mail bags and parcels (up to 15 kg).
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or sorting environment (not essential, but a plus).
- A keen understanding of local Noosa Heads and surrounding area postcodes.
