Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Site Manager / Superintendent to oversee construction projects in the vibrant Bend, Oregon area. This critical role involves managing all on-site activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with exceptional problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of construction processes. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities, personnel, and subcontractors.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring critical milestones are met.
- Implement and enforce Skanska's stringent safety programs and quality control procedures.
- Coordinate daily tasks, resolve site-specific issues, and mitigate potential delays.
- Conduct regular site meetings, inspections, and progress reports.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and equipment efficiently.
- Foster a positive and productive working environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and engineers on site.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or Superintendent in construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects simultaneously.
- Commitment to quality workmanship and safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- OSHA 30-hour certification.
- Experience with Lean construction principles.
- PMP certification is a plus.
- Experience with sustainable building practices (e.g., LEED certification).
