Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Site Manager / Superintendent to oversee construction projects in the vibrant Bend, Oregon area. This critical role involves managing all on-site activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with exceptional problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of construction processes. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities, personnel, and subcontractors.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring critical milestones are met.
  • Implement and enforce Skanska's stringent safety programs and quality control procedures.
  • Coordinate daily tasks, resolve site-specific issues, and mitigate potential delays.
  • Conduct regular site meetings, inspections, and progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
  • Manage project budgets, resources, and equipment efficiently.
  • Foster a positive and productive working environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and engineers on site.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager or Superintendent in construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects simultaneously.
  • Commitment to quality workmanship and safety.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification.
  • Experience with Lean construction principles.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Experience with sustainable building practices (e.g., LEED certification).
