Job Description
Are you looking for an exciting entry-level opportunity where you can learn valuable skills in a creative industry? Columbia Basin Graphics is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sign Printing Shop Helper to join our team in Richland, WA. This is a fantastic chance for someone with no prior experience to kickstart a career in sign production. We are committed to providing comprehensive training on all aspects of vinyl cutting, weeding, application, and general shop support. Key Responsibilities
- Learn and execute the process of cutting vinyl graphics using specialized equipment.
- Carefully weed excess vinyl from cut designs, preparing them for application.
- Assist with the preparation of various sign substrates (cleaning, trimming, laminating).
- Support the lead sign technicians with material handling and organization.
- Help maintain a clean and organized production area.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- Assist with packing and shipping finished signs and graphics.
- Learn and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures within the shop.
Required Skills
- No prior experience required – full training provided!
- Strong attention to detail and a steady hand.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Eagerness to learn new skills and adapt to new processes.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of measurements and rulers (will train on specifics).
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a hands-on or production environment (not required, but a plus).
- Interest in graphic design, crafts, or visual arts.
