Job Description

Are you looking for an exciting entry-level opportunity where you can learn valuable skills in a creative industry? Columbia Basin Graphics is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sign Printing Shop Helper to join our team in Richland, WA. This is a fantastic chance for someone with no prior experience to kickstart a career in sign production. We are committed to providing comprehensive training on all aspects of vinyl cutting, weeding, application, and general shop support. Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and execute the process of cutting vinyl graphics using specialized equipment.
  • Carefully weed excess vinyl from cut designs, preparing them for application.
  • Assist with the preparation of various sign substrates (cleaning, trimming, laminating).
  • Support the lead sign technicians with material handling and organization.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized production area.
  • Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.
  • Assist with packing and shipping finished signs and graphics.
  • Learn and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures within the shop.

Required Skills

  • No prior experience required – full training provided!
  • Strong attention to detail and a steady hand.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Eagerness to learn new skills and adapt to new processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic understanding of measurements and rulers (will train on specifics).
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in a hands-on or production environment (not required, but a plus).
  • Interest in graphic design, crafts, or visual arts.
