Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Shopify Specialist to join our fully remote team. As a key member of our e-commerce division, you will be instrumental in developing, optimizing, and maintaining high-performing Shopify stores for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role requires a strong understanding of the Shopify ecosystem, Liquid templating, front-end development, and a passion for crafting seamless online shopping experiences. You will collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and marketing specialists to bring client visions to life and ensure technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement custom Shopify themes and sections using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Configure and integrate third-party apps and APIs to extend Shopify store functionality.
- Perform routine maintenance, updates, and bug fixes for existing Shopify stores.
- Optimize store performance for speed, SEO, and user experience.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand project requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Conduct thorough testing to ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness across devices.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients on Shopify-related queries.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify features, trends, and best practices.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of professional experience with the Shopify platform
- Proficiency in Liquid templating language
- Strong command of HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS), and JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience with responsive web design principles
- Familiarity with Git version control
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a digital agency environment
- Knowledge of Shopify Plus features and development
- Experience with React or Vue.js frameworks
- Familiarity with conversion rate optimization (CRO) best practices
- Basic understanding of SEO principles for e-commerce
- Certification in Shopify development
