Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic technology team. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and robust web applications, contributing to the modernization and efficiency of our core systems. The ideal candidate will possess expertise across both front-end and back-end technologies, with a strong commitment to best practices in software development. This position offers H1B or Skilled Worker Visa Sponsorship for qualified international candidates looking to make a significant impact in a leading energy company.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of new features and applications across the full stack.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in line with development best practices and company standards.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define specifications and deliver high-quality products.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to architectural guidelines.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software to improve functionality and performance.
- Research and evaluate new technologies to determine their applicability to Irving Oil's business needs.
- Ensure security and data protection measures are implemented throughout the development lifecycle.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience in full stack web development.
- Proficiency in front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and associated technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Strong back-end development skills with experience in Node.js, Python, Java, or C#.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Demonstrated understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and system integrations.
- Solid grasp of software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, and version control (Git).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture patterns and distributed systems.
- Previous experience working in the energy or related industrial sectors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
