Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Scrum Master / Agile Coach to join our dynamic software development teams in Irvine. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance. You will guide multiple teams in adopting and refining Agile practices, ensuring the smooth delivery of high-quality software solutions. This role is open to international candidates who are eager to contribute to a world-class technology organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective meetings.
- Coach development teams and product owners in Agile principles and Scrum framework.
- Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel.
- Forecast the number of deliverables possible in an iteration, which is a sprint.
- Help product owner in maintaining the product backlog and in defining stories.
- Ensure team adherence to Agile values, principles, and practices.
- Foster a self-organizing and self-managing team environment.
- Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress.
- Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to improve Agile practices across the organization.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment.
- Strong understanding of Scrum and other Agile frameworks (Kanban, Lean, XP).
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.
- Ability to work with distributed teams and diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II) certification.
- Experience as an Agile Coach, guiding multiple teams or programs.
- Background in software engineering or related technical field.
- Experience working with large-scale enterprise applications or complex systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
