Job Description

This entry-level position is perfect for those with no prior truck driving experience. We provide comprehensive, paid training to help you obtain your CDL/HGV license, setting you up for a long and successful career as a professional driver. You’ll learn the ropes from experienced professionals, ensuring you’re fully equipped to safely and efficiently operate our collection vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in all paid training programs, including classroom instruction and on-the-road driving practice.
- Learn and adhere to all safety protocols, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company policies.
- Assist experienced drivers with daily collection routes, including maneuvering vehicles and operating equipment as instructed.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in and around company vehicles.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service and professionalism.
Required Skills
- Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen.
- Willingness to learn and commit to a rigorous training program.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to safety.
