Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Road Marker Assistants to join our night shift crew in Bruce, ACT. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for consistent night work with high hourly pay. As a Road Marker Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our roads by assisting with the application and maintenance of road markings. Full training will be provided to successful candidates, making this an ideal role for those eager to learn new skills and contribute to critical infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior road markers in the preparation and application of various road markings (e.g., lines, arrows, symbols) using specialized equipment.
- Set up and dismantle traffic management devices, ensuring a safe work zone for the team and the public.
- Load and unload materials and equipment from vehicles.
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Monitor work progress and ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
- Perform general labouring duties as required on-site.
- Work collaboratively with the team to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Required Skills
- Ability to work consistently during night hours.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
- Valid Australian Driver's License (manual preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction or outdoor labouring roles.
- White Card (Construction Induction Card).
- First Aid certification.
- Traffic Control or Traffic Management qualifications.
