Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Road Barrier Installers to join our night shift crew in Logan City, Queensland. This is a critical role responsible for the installation, maintenance, and removal of road barriers and traffic management devices on various infrastructure projects. You will work as part of a highly skilled team, ensuring the safety of road users and construction personnel. This position offers a competitive hourly rate with generous night shift allowances, reflecting the importance and demanding nature of the work. Key Responsibilities
- Safely install, remove, and adjust road barriers, guardrails, and traffic control devices as per project specifications and safety standards.
- Operate various tools, equipment, and light machinery required for barrier installation and maintenance.
- Perform routine inspections and minor repairs on installed barriers.
- Adhere strictly to all WHS (Work Health and Safety) policies, procedures, and traffic management plans.
- Work effectively and collaboratively as a member of the night shift crew.
- Assist with site setup, cleanup, and material handling.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, site hazards, or safety incidents promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work consistent night shifts and be reliable.
- Possession of a current and valid Australian Driver's License (manual preferred).
- Basic understanding of construction site safety and willingness to learn.
- Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions.
- Commitment to working safely and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction Induction Card (White Card) is essential prior to commencing.
- Previous experience in civil construction, roadworks, or similar outdoor manual roles.
- Traffic Management Accreditation (e.g., Yellow Card, Blue Card).
- First Aid Certificate.
- Heavy Rigid (HR) or Higher Combination (HC) truck license.
- Experience operating small plant equipment (e.g., excavators, skid steers).
